Convert Your LinkedIn PDF into an Editable Resume

Turn the PDF LinkedIn gives you into a clean, editable resume. Upload it below and it opens in our editor, ready to tidy up and download — no account needed until you download.

Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to download your profile as a PDF from LinkedIn

  1. Open your own profile

On a computer, sign in to LinkedIn and open your profile. Save to PDF is not available in the LinkedIn mobile app.

  2. More Save to PDF

    More → Save to PDF

In the intro section, click More (on some profiles: Resources), then Save to PDF. LinkedIn downloads a file, usually called Profile.pdf.

  3. PDF Profile.pdf

    Upload it here

Drop that file into the box above. We read it in your browser and open the result in the editor.

LinkedIn help: Save a profile as a PDF

Want it in one click from your profile?

Our Chrome extension reads your own profile page directly — no PDF step, and it picks up sections the PDF leaves out.

Install the Chrome extension

Why convert the LinkedIn PDF

  • A resume, not a profile printout

LinkedIn’s PDF is a fixed two-column printout of your profile. The editor turns it into a single-column resume with selectable text that you can restyle.

  • Edit before you send

Rewrite your headline, reorder sections, cut old roles and fill in what the PDF misses — it only carries your top three skills, for example.

  • PDF or Word

Download a PDF to send, or a Word (DOCX) file when an application or recruiter asks for one.

  • Nothing to install

It runs in the browser. The Chrome extension is optional, for a one-click import next time.

Your file stays in your browser

The PDF is read on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers and its contents are not logged.

The resume then lives in your browser until you choose to sign in and save it to an account. Downloading a PDF or Word file sends the resume text to our server to generate the file.

We only count that an import happened and how it went — never what the file contains.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. Importing, editing, and PNG or text export are free without an account. During our launch month, PDF and Word downloads are free too — you sign in with Google or email, no card.
Is it safe to upload my LinkedIn PDF?
The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded. Only when you download a PDF or Word file is the resume text sent to our server to generate it. We are not affiliated with LinkedIn and never ask for your LinkedIn password.
Can I get a PDF or a Word document?
Both. After the import you can download the resume as PDF or as Word (DOCX), plus PNG and plain text.
Why does LinkedIn’s Save to PDF look so bad?
It is a printout of your profile, not a resume: a fixed two-column layout, LinkedIn’s own ordering, only your top three skills and no photo. You can’t restyle it. Converting it gives you the same content in a resume layout you can edit.
Does it work if my LinkedIn is in another language?
Yes. We read exports whose section headings are in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian or Ukrainian, and place sections in other languages by their layout. Compare the result with your profile — some sections can arrive incomplete.
Does it read every section of my profile?
It reads the supported sections the PDF contains: contact details, headline, summary, experience, education, top skills, languages, certifications, honors and publications. LinkedIn’s PDF has no projects and only three skills; add those in the editor.
Can I convert someone else’s profile?
No — import your own profile only. The tool is for turning your own LinkedIn export into your own resume.
