Best LinkedIn-to-Resume Converters for PDF and Word
Six ways to turn a LinkedIn profile into a resume file, compared on import method and what you can actually download. By the developer of one of them.

Start with two questions: can the tool read the source you have, and does its plan let you download the file you need? A free PDF download and a free LinkedIn import are separate features.

A profile can have a URL without exposing enough content publicly for a URL importer. That is different from a language limitation. Check the vendor’s supported languages separately; a non-English profile is not automatically inaccessible by URL.

Kickresume’s free plan can produce a PDF of a resume you enter manually, but it does not include LinkedIn import. Resumonk distinguishes a cached free import from importing the latest profile on its paid plans. Check dates and recent roles especially carefully if you use the cached route.
ExportMyResume’s import and manual editor are free without an ExportMyResume account. Its PDF download requires Pro. If a free PDF is your main requirement, the other options in this table provide one within their stated limits.

Teal’s pricing table separates keyword matching from AI credits. Its ten-credit allowance concerns bullets; the free keyword matching row is limited to the top five.
ExportMyResume shows proposed edits before applying them, with suggested skills and tools unchecked. Pasting a posting adds tailoring and a fit check. Review rewritten sentences as well as new skill suggestions before accepting changes.
Paid prices at the time of checking
On September 6, 2026, Rezi listed Pro at $29 per month and Lifetime at $149. Kickresume listed Premium at €8 per month when billed as €96 annually. Resumonk listed its two-month AI plan at $29 with a three-day trial. Teal listed Teal+ at $13 per week, with longer billing options.
ExportMyResume offers weekly, annual, and lifetime Pro options; its current amount is shown at checkout. Confirm the total charge and renewal period before buying any plan. A trial and an ongoing free tier are different offers.
When LinkedIn’s own PDF is enough
LinkedIn documents a desktop Save to PDF option for your profile or another member’s. It requires English profile and member-language settings, isn’t available in the mobile app, and may not be available to every member.
Use it when you need a profile snapshot and the generated file contains what the recipient wants. To change the selection of roles, wording, or layout, work in a resume editor. Compare the free PDF routes before choosing a builder solely for an export.
Choose the input route that fits your source
Public profile, no extension wanted: a URL importer is a candidate. Check whether import itself is free and whether the source is current.
Your profile isn’t publicly readable: an extension that reads your signed-in profile avoids the public-URL route. ExportMyResume supports your own profile only. Read its permissions and data flow before installing.
You already have a resume: a file importer such as Rezi or Teal can start from that document. Accepting PDF as an input doesn’t prove that every LinkedIn export will parse completely, so compare the result with the source.
You need Word: confirm DOCX availability on the plan before entering the whole resume. Then inspect the downloaded Word file, since it can differ from a PDF preview.
